To begin your DNA test, contact us at 1-423-239-2487. When you contact us, please provide us with the
following information as it will allow us to properly answer your questions:
1. Tell us what type of DNA test
you are requiring. For example: paternity test (standard trio or motherless), grandpaternity, etc. If you
are not sure which test would be best, give us a call and we can advise you. Check out "Our Services"
page.
2. Tell us whether you are the mother, alleged father, child, grandparent or guardian, etc.
3.
Are you needing the test for legal reasons such as child support issues or changing the name on a child's birth certificate (requiring
a strict chain of custody)? If so, is there a scheduled court date? Is the test court ordered? If so, the
name of your attorney? Or are the results solely for your personal use?
4. Names of the parties to be
tested.
5. Age(s) of the child(ren).
6. Name, address and telephone number of the person who
is initiating the test.
7. Names, addresses and telephone number(s) of the person(s) who are to receive results
and/or reports.
8. Who will be paying for the test?
9. When would you like to schedule the
test?
Once we receive your request for a DNA test, we will make arrangements for the testing to be done at a collection
facility the nearest to you. If you live in a different city or state from one of the other tested parties, we will
coordinate setting up individual collections with hundreds of collection sites located in various cities and states, and even
throughout the world.
When the tested parties go for their testing, please bring with you the following:
- A
picture ID (driver's license, passport, or other form of identification so we can verify who you are).
- Social
security number for each party being tested.
- Copy of birth certificate of the child (copy of crib card is acceptable
for newborns)
- Proof of custody or guardianship for child, if appropriate
- Payment for services at the
collection site - this averages $20-40 per person. Each collection site sets their own prices and collects their own
fees.
Should you desire "at home" DNA testing, we can provide you with a self collection kit.
This is a convenient and discreet method if you are only needing the results for personal reasons. You must be aware,
however, that this method is not legally admissible should you need this at a later time for child custody, child support,
estate issues, etc.
